Mauro Farina was the founder and CEO of The Saifam Group, one of the longest-standing and most influential independent music companies in Italy. He was a man who transformed passion into enterprise, art into vision, and music into a language capable of uniting generations and cultures. His career was an inspiring journey that began as a musician and evolved into record entrepreneurship, driven by one constant: curiosity. From his early days as the voice of Caravan — performing throughout Italy and abroad — to the creation of an innovative structure that shaped artists and professionals, Farina always believed in the power of ideas and creative freedom.
Farina was one of the most prolific producers in global dance music: over 1,500 productions, millions of records sold, and worldwide success across European markets, especially in Japan, where his label became a cultural phenomenon thanks to the Eurobeat/High-Energy scene. Visionary and tireless, he helped launch iconic projects such as Radiorama, Aleph, Atrium, Joe Yellow, King Kong & D. Jungle Girls, and played a central role both in the rise of Italo-disco and in the ’90s house explosion, signing hits that entered charts around the world.
In the 2000s, he also led Saifam into the development of Italian hip hop, producing early works by Fabri Fibra, Club Dogo, Mondo Marcio and many others, while expanding the publishing catalog to more than 58,000 works.
The Forever box set aims to enshrine this legacy — a musical monument honoring a pioneer and innovator who united creativity, intuition and entrepreneurial spirit, leaving behind a body of work that continues to inspire entire generations.
